With a modern fleet of more than 100 standard vessels we are able to serve a competitive and complex market and enable our clients to maximise their value chain.

On an annual basis, we carry some 40 million tons of drybulk cargoes, and the duration of our contractual agreements ranges from long-term CoAs to spot movements, all depending on the client’s needs and risk profile.

Tonnage for carrying Klaveness’ cargo volumes is secured through the Panamax and Supramax pools, where vessels are operated under a profit-sharing scheme.

Klaveness Chartering is a preferred counterparty for leading tonnage providers. Through our tonnage desks, we source time-charter tonnage for periods of up to 10 years.

Risk Management is an integral part of everything we do, and the company uses forward freight derivates (FFAs) to mitigate market imbalances and hedge physical positions. Klaveness actively uses FFAs, and is thus able to serve the industry under all market conditions and at levels of volatility.
